Dayton Broomball Leagues

The DBA hosts various broomball events year round. Generally, expect full seasons in the fall, winter and spring. Summer broomball opportunities are also available, but the format varies with the level of interest. All events are held at South Metro Sports.

FREE "Intro to Broomball" Sessions

A great opportunity to get someone new involved in this growing sport. Absolutely no experience is required and we encourage current players to engage the newcomers, answer their questions and show them how to play. Sticks and helmets will be available, along with a limited assortment of padding.

Payment & Waiver Details
- Payment will be collected at the first game. If a player or team has not paid by the start of their second game, they will not be permitted on the ice.
- All checks should be made out to the Dayton Broomball Association.
- A waiver will also be collected at the first game. You must sign the waiver to be on the ice or team bench, no exceptions.

League Information

You may register to play in more than one league. When registration is open, you must sign up online. Registration links will be present on the left hand side of each page of our site. The number of games and cost to play varies each season.

Co-ed Recreational
The rec league is for both men and women and is a fun option for players of all skill levels. No experience is required. This is a good choice for beginners, but experienced players who just want to have fun and mentor new players are also welcome!

Co-ed Competitive
The competitive league is also for both men and women, but operates at a much faster pace than Recreational. And while you don't have to be a pro, it is not recommended for beginners.

High School Co-ed
New this Spring - a league for high school students only. It's co-ed, and up to 2 faculty may be on the roster. Teams do not have to be organized by a high school. Only offered during the Spring.

Women's Only
The women's only league is designed to give the ladies some extra opportunities to improve their broomball skills and get more involved in the game. When offered, a minimum of 20 players must sign up; otherwise the league will be canceled.

Men's Only
The men's only league is the perfect chance for guys to play in a faster paced, more competitive atmosphere. When offered, a minimum of 20 players must sign up; otherwise the league will be canceled.
